Superman Spoof Needs Famous Looking Stand-Ins

Are you an aging, awkward looking British national with a down-trodden grin and an ugly wife? How about the fourteenth incarnation of Genden Drup? Neither of these? You’re at least King Carl XVI Gustaf, right? No? Well, in that case, if you bear a strong resemblance to King Charles, the Dalai Lama, or the King of Sweden, you should continue reading.

According to our friends over at Movie Hole, David Zucker’s brand new parody Superhero! is looking for impersonators to provide cameos. Producers are currently in search of all those mentioned in the first paragraph along with people to portray Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, the Pope, and the Queen of Sweden. Apparently, executives feel world leaders falling down is always funny.

Superhero! tells the tale of a high school senior who suddenly discovers he has magical powers. Of course, dealing with his new abilities doesn’t prove easy, and all those involved hope laughter will eventually ensue. Then again, that was the rationale behind Date Movie and The Comebacks.

Along with an arsenal of celebrity look-alikes, Christopher McDonald, Leslie Nielson, Jeffrey Tambor, and Ryan Hansen will feature somewhere in the final product. Check back in six months or so for the ranting, hateful review.
