Rapper T.I. Released on $2 Million in Cash Bond and $1 Million in Property

It's freedom for T.I. The rapper is getting a temporary reprieve from prison as the judge in his gun-possession case ordered a $3 million bond Friday October 26th, two weeks after he was arrested in weapons case that could see him jailed for 30 years.

T.I. walked out of the federal courthouse in downtown Atlanta after posting a $3 million bail; $2 million in cash bond and $1 million in property. As of the cash bond, it reportedly came in the form of two cashier's checks provided by T.I. and his record label Atlantic Records.

Claimed to be feeling "great" now that he's out of jail and is looking "forward to getting this (case) behind me and we move forward," T.I. was ordered by U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan Baverman to remain at his home in Henry County, Georgia, except for medical appointments and court appearances.

T.I., additionally, also was required to surrender his passport, not own any guns and stay away from witnesses and informants in the case. The only people who will be allowed to live with him are his girlfriend and children. Visitors must be approved by the court.

That's not all, a private monitoring company will be placed at T.I.'s home, and he will be subject to drug, alcohol and weapons searches at their discretion. The ATF will also be allowed to search the residence. The rapper will as well be monitored 24 hours a day by a private monitoring service that he himself must pay for.

T.I. is warned by Judge Alan Baverman that he could possibly face "a number of very bad things," including his bond being revoked and any sentence he receives later being potentially increased, should he gets into any trouble or violates the terms of his release.
